Agile Defense announced today it received a contract to provide Business Technology Support (BTS) to the United States Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR). The Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) is a United States Air Force global organization that discovers, shapes and champions basic science that profoundly impacts the future Air and Space Force. AFOSR directs the Air Force’s investments in basic research within government, university, and industry laboratories, and ensures the transition of those research results. AFOSR is a technical directorate under the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). Agile Defense will provide support to AFOSR in Arlington, Virginia and it’s International Office (IO) in London, England; Tokyo, Japan; and Santiago, Chile. New international offices are expected in calendar year 2021 in Melbourne, Australia and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Support will also be provided to AFRL Small Business and AFWERX.
AFOSR provides operational and business systems development support for military, civil servant and contractor personnel. The contract will help AFOSR migrate to a FedRAMP IL5 assessed cloud, enhance and maintain the Pegasystems Grants business system software, and continue to provide innovation across all areas of business technology support.
